The goal for this tutorial is to teach a Content authors who is new to AEM how to create/modify a website in AEM using the latest reusable component library and services.
Hero banner component is the first component on page. Variations include: Primary, Secondary
Allows the ability to convey messaging through copy, image and video. Authors may choose to provide multiple CTAs.
Provides the ability to display relevant secondary content for users (i.e., related resources and actions).
Use in the middle or bottom of a page. It would be good to use this component on a busy page with lots of images so that the negative space works for attention.
Header variations for sites and microsites. Vsriation includes, Primary, Secondary, Dual Logo and Header with Megamenu
Alerts communicate important messages to the user. Alerts should be used sparingly.
Core Features
Editable templates
Allow specialized authors to create and edit templates.
- Such specialized authors are called template authors
- Template authors must be members of the template-authors group.
Provide templates that retain a dynamic connection to any pages created from them.
Theming
A theme contains styling details for components and panels, and you can reuse a theme on different forms. Styles include properties such as background colors, state colors, transparency, alignment, and size. When you apply the theme to your form, the specified style reflects on corresponding components of your form.

Experience Fragment
Experience Fragment component with an associated experience fragment variation that is composed of a Text and Image component.
Create channel-agnostic and reusable fragments by grouping content and layouts. These fragments can publish to any screen to ensure consistent messaging and design without building multiple creative assets.

Content Fragment
Content fragment component with an associated content fragment asset. The asset uses the Simple Fragment model and displays some dummy article content, including a header and paragraph. It has one Main element.
Content fragments are a modular and channel-agnostic way of content authoring that isn’t tied to layouts or templates. Text editing becomes easy, organized, and versatile using structured or simple fragments, variations, and intelligent summarization.
